A room in afternoon light. The fold of a linen shirt. A doorway you passed through every day for years. Scent has a way of returning these to us whole, before we have time to decide whether we wanted them back.
We often say a fragrance reminds us of something. It is closer to the truth to say that it keeps something for us — a temperature, a texture, the particular quiet of a place — and hands it back when we least expect it.
Memory, worn lightly
At LOOM we think of fragrance as an invisible thread. Not a louder version of yourself, but a way of carrying what matters a little closer. Wear it often enough and it becomes part of the memory, too.
